چکیده
Boron toxicity in agricultural lands limits plant breeding as a nutrition problem. Some plants are able to tolerate high levels of heavy metals at potentially toxic doses, accumulate them their bodies and remove from the soil. In this study, it was aimed determine morphological physiological responses ornamental cabbage phytoremediation against boron toxicity. This study conducted under controlled greenhouse conditions, 4 different doses (0, 10, 25, 50 mg kg-1 B) were applied 2 soil structures (acidic (S1) alkaline (S2) soils). Toxicity symptoms appeared B. At soil, weights visual properties found be low quality. Results show that dose increased, shoot-root fresh dry weight, stomatal conductance, chlorophyll content, relative water content (RWC) decreased. accumulation shoot, root whole As result, is understood used for decontamination element by method first time study. We suggest has potential hyper-accumulator remediation boron-contaminated

Volatile constituents throughout Brassica oleracea L. Var. acephala germination.
In this work, the volatile composition of kale ( Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) and its variation during germination were monitored during the first 9 days of seedling development by headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) combined with gas chromatography/ion trap-mass spectrometry (GC/IT-MS). Differences were found among the materials in the distinct analyzed periods. A total of 6...
متن کاملControlling Ornamental Cabbage and Kale (Brassica oleracea) Growth via Cycocel
Chlormequat (cycocel or CCC), the plant growth retardant, was evaluated for its ability to control plant height in Brassica oleracea cultivar ‘Kamome White’ and ‘Nagoya Red’. Different concentrations of CCC (0, 500, 1000 and 1500 mg/L) were sprayed and drenched on plants 40 days after transplanting. Data were recorded the 60 and 90 days after transplanting. The 1500 mg/L of CCC resulted in abou...
متن کاملImpact of copper toxicity on stone-head cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) in hydroponics
Arable soils are frequently subjected to contamination with copper as the consequence of imbalanced fertilization with manure and organic fertilizers and/or extensive use of copper-containing fungicides. In the present study, the exposure of stone-head cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) to elevated Cu(2+) levels resulted in leaf chlorosis and lesser biomass yield at ≥2 µ M. Root nitrate ...
متن کاملChromosome Doubling of Microspore-Derived Plants from Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) and Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica L.)
Chromosome doubling of microspore-derived plants is an important factor in the practical application of microspore culture technology because breeding programs require a large number of genetically stable, homozygous doubled haploid plants with a high level of fertility. In the present paper, 29 populations of microspore-derived plantlets from cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) and brocc...

Phenolic and organic acid profiles of aqueous extracts from Pieris brassicae material and the host kale (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) leaves were determined by HPLC/UV-DAD/MS(n)-ESI and HPLC-UV, respectively. The identified phenolics included acylated and nonacylated flavonoid glycosides, hydroxycinnamic acyl gentiobiosides, and sulphate phenolics. Kale exhibited the highest content (11g...
